The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus in El Paso, TX is seeking a patient care support teammate to assist nursing service personnel with essential patient comfort and daily living activities, including hygiene, vital signs, and bed linen changes. This is a Full Time, Day shift position.

You will support meal delivery, between-meal nourishment, and prepare supplies; a nursing assistant program completion and BLS certification are required, CPI within 90 days, and strong communication skills

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: prior clerical or customer service experience in a clinical setting.
• Ability to operate computer-driven patient care equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Assist nursing service personnel with personal hygiene, vital signs, and bed linen changes.
• Serve and collect food trays; provide between-meal nourishment and prepare supplies.
• Support with cleaning, sterilizing, storing, and preparing other supplies as needed.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety and adhere to clinical procedures.

Job Summary

Full Time, Days

Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs, and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store, and prepare other supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Qualifications

• Required- High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Experience

• Required-None
• Preferred-6-month acute care and/or previous clinical experience

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Completion of a nursing assistant program
• Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)if American Red Cross, must obtain American Heart Association within 60-days of hire
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification within 90-days of hire/transfer

• Preferred: Prior basic experience performing clerical or customer service duties with prior HUC training/experience in a clinical setting
• Ability to use computer driven patient care equipment
• Has effective interpersonal and communication skills
