Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence - Memorial Campus is seeking a Night shift Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in delivering compassionate patient care. You will assist with personal needs, hygiene, vital signs, and comfort measures to ensure a positive patient experience.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, 3 years in a medical setting, familiarity with medical terminology; BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

Job Shift: Nights
Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs, and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store, and prepare other supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Responsibilities

• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.

Qualifications

Education:

Required: High school diploma or GED.

Experience:

Required: 3 years of experience in a medical setting. Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory data.

Preferred: 5 years of experience as a nursing assistant or clerical staff in a medical environment.

Certifications:

Required: AHA BLS
