Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) II in a float pool role. The incumbent will support RNs with patient observations, provide constant monitoring for high‑risk patients, assist with activities of daily living, and help position, transport, and care for patients in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and Basic Life Support certification, with ongoing development in patient care skills. Sign-on bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to RN about patient observations.
• Maintain safety and assist with daily living activities; support patient care tasks as directed.
• Monitor vital signs and perform basic patient care duties.
• Assist with procedures and ensure equipment readiness and sanitation.
