Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital seeks a compassionate Patient Care Technician for Weinberg 4AB, a 36-bed inpatient oncology unit. You will provide patient- and family-centered care as part of a multidisciplinary team and participate in ongoing training to maintain certification and scope of practice.

The role requires a Maryland CNA, High school diploma, and BLS CPR; hospital experience preferred. You will receive tuition reimbursement, PTO, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of Johns

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
• One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Weinberg 4ABis a 36-bed inpatient unit that provides medical care to adult oncology patients. Specialized care is provided to patients with solid tumor diagnosis.

Patient Care Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital provide highly skilled and compassionate patient and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Patient Care Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
