Job summary

Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under licensed staff, assisting with activities of daily living and basic clinical tasks to support the health care team.

You will assist with patient comfort, safety, and documentation, while maintaining a clean, safe environment and participating in orientation and training, including BLS/CPR within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active CNA certification preferred.
• BLS/CPR required within 90 days of start or orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of licensed staff.
• Perform basic nursing skills and point-of-care testing.
• Implement orders promptly and understand their purpose.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Document relevant patient information in the computer system.
