Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks a combined Patient Care Tech (PCT) and Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to support the Ortho Plastics unit at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT.

This full-time role covers day and night shifts, with potential weekend/holiday requirements, and shift differentials for evenings and nights. You will perform essential patient care tasks, assist in coordinating patient flow, and support the nursing team in maintaining unit operations and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, fresh water and ice, ambulating, comfort measures, and other patient needs.
• Report and record patient care findings and data in a timely manner.
• Monitor patient conditions and address changes with the RN and care team.
• May perform telemetry duties and function as a patient care attendant as required.
• Transport medications from delivery to the RN as needed on the unit.
• Possibly serve as Health Unit Coordinator: answer phones, transcribe orders, manage unit records, restock supplies.
