Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our Ortho Plastics unit at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. The role combines clinical care with unit coordination, on full-time day or night shifts, supporting the patient care team and ensuring smooth operations.

The position requires CNA certification in Utah (or completion within 120 days), BLS for healthcare providers, and basic computer literacy.

Qualifications

• CNA certification in Utah required or must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• Basic computer literacy and typing for charting.
• Official CNA program completion or current enrollment as stated by Utah requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including toileting, bathing and mobility.
• Document and report patient data promptly to RNs and team.
• Assist with telemetry and monitor patient status as assigned.
• Transport medications from delivery system to RN on unit.
• Collaborate with RN and interdisciplinary team for optimal care.
• May perform health unit coordinator tasks: phones, orders, unit records.
