Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech to support licensed staff in delivering patient-centered care across the lifecycle. You will assist with assessments, mobility, daily living activities, and routine monitoring while documenting in the EMR.

The role requires BLS and a high school diploma, with preferred CNA/PCT certification and 1 year of experience. You will join a collaborative team focused on safety, quality, and compassionate care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills and teamwork are essential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Certification from a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician program is preferred.
• One year of patient care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient assessments and data collection of physical, psychosocial history and safety.
• Assists patients with mobility, feeding, oral care, bathing, toileting, glucose checks, turning and rounding.
• Documents vitals and treatments in the EMR in a timely manner.
• Communicates with care partners and notifies the primary nurse of changes or concerns.
• Assists with admission and discharge, assists with patient intake and rooming.
• Reinforces patient education provided by licensed staff.
• Responds to call lights and fall alarms.
• If acting as a sitter or unit secretary, provides appropriate support to staff and patients.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.
