Job summary

Community Health Systems is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at our Longview, TX facility. The PCT provides high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision, assisting with activities of daily living and maintaining a safe care environment.

Responsibilities include collecting vital signs, assisting with meals and mobility, and ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team. CNA/CPCT certifications may be preferred; BCLS within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years acute care experience or currently enrolled in Nursing program preferred.
• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care, performing delegated basic patient care services, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.
• Collect and record patient data including vital signs and other measurements, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, mobility, and elimination needs; manage supplies and PPE as required.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team and maintain infection control standards.
