Job summary

Longview Continue Care Hospital in Longview, Texas, seeks a Patient Care Technician or CNA to support hospitalized patients in an LTACH setting. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, help with mobility, and provide basic care under nurse direction.

You'll work in a team-focused, compassionate environment that values attention to detail and clear communication. A high school diploma, CNA/PCT certification, CPR, and strong interpersonal skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a PCT or CNA.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse).
• Assist with mobility and transfers (beds to chairs, walking).
• Provide basic medical care under nurse direction (dressings, creams, medications).
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.

Job description

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Helping with mobility and transferring patients from beds to chairs or assisting with walking. Providing basic medical care, such as changing dressings, applying creams, or assisting with medications under the direction of nurses. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• CPR certification required.
