Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Med Surg Unit at Texas Health Alliance in Fort Worth, TX. Day shift, full-time, 36 hours per week, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include assisting patients per plan of care, data collection, ADL support, and safe procedure performance. You will collaborate with nurses to adapt care to diverse patient needs and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Current TX CNA or PCT training with an approved program.
• Current EMT for TX or military medical training equivalent.
• 1 year of PCT experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required.
• CPI training within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing student with fundamentals or foreign nurse degree.
• CLIA compliance or foreign education equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collects patient data and reports significant findings to nurse.
• Assists in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Assists with activities of daily living per patient/family preferences.
• Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Takes action to reduce patient risk.
• Enters orders into computer or manual system.
• Documents accurately.
• Adapts care reflecting patient population and cultural needs.
• Keeps patient environment clean and safe.
• Anticipates patient/family and visitor needs and rounds as appropriate.

Education

TX CNA or PCT training with NHA/NAHP/NCCT or THR approved program

Current EMT for TX

Military medical training equivalent

Nursing student with fundamentals or foreign nurse degree

1 year of applicable PCT experience

BCLS certification

CPI training within 60 days of hire

CLIA compliance / education equivalency
