Tampa General Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct and indirect care, including meeting patients' dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and comfort. Duties are performed under the supervision of licensed nursing staff at the TGH Main Campus in Tampa, FL.

This is a full-time on-site night shift from 7pm to 7am. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Florida CNA license, and for nursing students: enrollment in a nursing program

Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
Florida CNA license is required.
Nursing students must be enrolled in a Nursing program and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing (unofficial transcript required).

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect patient care with focus on nutrition, hygiene, safety, and comfort under supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Ensure patient and family support and assist with basic needs as part of the care team.

Education

Job description

The Patient Care Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care, including provision for patient's dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and physical and psychological comfort measures, to patient and significant others, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
