Job summary

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to support the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and perform hygiene-related procedures.

Working within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team, you will share tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members to ensure optimal care across Atlanta and beyond.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• CNA credential registered in the Georgia Registry.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA.
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by AMT.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by NHA.
• One year of patient care experience in CNA/PCT/ED tech or acute care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and hygiene procedures.
• Work within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team, sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed staff.

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

PREFERRED

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
