Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Patient Care Tech to support clinical staff with direct patient care. 12-hour shifts are scheduled 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays, in Des Moines, IA.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, measuring vital signs, and preparing patients for procedures while maintaining safety and high-quality care. Equal opportunity employer and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care as delegated by an RN or LPN.
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Monitors and records vital signs and patient status.
• Responds to patient calls and ensures safety.
• Documents in patient health records per policy.
