Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Ante Partum to provide direct and indirect patient care under licensed nursing supervision, supporting safe, timely, and patient-centered care in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

You will assist with activities of daily living, observe patient conditions, document care, maintain infection prevention, and respond to emergencies following established protocols and organizational standards.

Competenze

High School Diploma or GED requirement.
CNA license from Florida Department of Health or active nursing student status.
Active enrollment in ASN or BSN program.
Fundamentals of Nursing course completed.

Provide direct patient care assistance, including activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, safety, and comfort.

Job Description

Patient Care Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services under the supervision of licensed
nursing staff. The role supports the delivery of safe, timely, and patient-centered care by assisting with basic
clinical and supportive care needs in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. The Patient Care Technician
practice in alignment with organizational values, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions

Provide direct patient care assistance, including support with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, safety, and comfort measures.
Assist licensed nursing staff with delegated patient care activities according to established clinical protocols.
Observe patient condition and promptly report changes or concerns to licensed nursing staff.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to patient care activities.
Support patient safety, infection prevention, and environmental cleanliness standards.
Respond appropriately to emergency situations and follow escalation procedures.
Prioritize assigned tasks and utilize resources effectively in a high-acuity clinical environment.
