Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island in Mineola, NY, is seeking a Patient Care Technician / Senior Nursing Attendant for Acute Neuro/Telemetry. The role supports nursing staff by performing direct and indirect patient care under RPN supervision and helping maintain a safe, orderly patient environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of a Certified Nursing Attendant program, BLS/CPR certification, and at least 6 months of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant Program, CNA certification.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.
• 6 months relevant patient-care experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission/transfer/discharge and orient patients.
• Perform rounds for safety, comfort and needs; respond to calls promptly.
• Prepare bedside units and assist with meals and hygiene.
• Move, position and transport patients; assist in procedures as directed.
• Document vitals and intake/output per RN guidance.
