Job summary

St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System in Savannah, GA is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide routine, non-licensed bedside care as part of the Nursing Team under licensed staff.

• Assists in procedures and exams; obtains supplies, equipment, and personnel as needed.
• Documents and reports patient data, status changes to RN/LPN.
• Identifies patients per guidelines and provides interventions under RN/LPN direction.

Core Job Functions

• Assists in procedures/ exams as directed. Obtains necessary supplies, equipment, and/ or personnel as needed. Communicates data by timely documentation and reporting of abnormal or patient status change to RN/LPN.
• Patients are identified per guidelines and patient care interventions are provided under the direction of the RN/LPN. Accurately obtains and documents patient assessments according to hospital/ department guidelines.
• Complies with regulatory guidelines for work area and professional practice. Communicates patient safety risks to appropriate providers. Performs interventions under the direction of the RN/LPN.
