Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott is seeking a Patient Care Tech to assist patients with daily activities and monitor comfort during their hospital stay. You will check vital signs, coordinate with the nursing team, and support admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining safety and compassionate care.

Required credentials include NA or EMT training, BLS, and AZ CNA or EMT license, with a strong desire to learn and grow in a caring

Qualifications

• Completion of NA training or EMT program or first nursing block.
• Current BLS certification.
• AZ CNA license or EMT license (AZ).

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly rounds on 8–10 patients, check vitals and assist with care.
• Collaborate with RN to implement care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living per standards.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer processes.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Tech, you will help our patients navigate their hospital stay by assisting them with basic activities of daily living and closely monitoring their physical comfort so they can feel safer, more comfortable, and supported throughout their healing journey.

Every day you will diligently manage essential patient care tasks, which includes checking vital signs and changing bed linens. You will be expected to remain highly observant of changes in a patient's condition, maintain a proactive workflow, and collaborate closely with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a genuine desire to help others feel better, accept feedback and coaching well, and demonstrate a strong eagerness to continuously learn and grow as a care provider.

• Conduct hourly rounds on approximately 8 to 10 patients, checking vitals, maintaining whiteboard information, and assisting with care as needed
• Collaborates with RN in implementation of plan
• Assists patients with activities of daily living according to standards of care and hospital protocol
• Reports significant observed or reported alterations in the patient condition
• Assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer

Job Requirements

Required

• Documentation of successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or EMT program, or completion of first block
  of nursing program orTwo (2) years experience as an NA in an acute care hospital setting
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate
• AZ CNA License or Emergency Medical Technician: AZ (EMT:AZ)
