Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York (PPCWNY) in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to manage patient intake, verify demographics and insurance, and document data in the Electronic Health Record with accuracy and confidentiality. You will assist clinicians, facilitate testing and exams, coordinate referrals, and support front-desk operations.

A healthcare background with strong communication skills is required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification desired.
• 2–4 years of clinical experience required or preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and manage intake per PPCWNY policies.
• Record data accurately in the Electronic Health Record and verify demographics and insurance.
• Perform routine tests and support clinicians in exam rooms.
• Assist with patient referrals, scheduling, and follow-up communications.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Travel to other PPCWNY sites as needed.
