Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year minimum experience with referrals or related medical office work.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and coordinate scheduling with specialists per provider requests.
• Verify patient insurance and obtain prior authorization as needed.
• Enter and maintain referral data in the EMR system with complete documentation.
• Educate patients about the referral process and expected steps.
