Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA or phlebotomy training preferred.
• Experience in clinical assistant role desirable.
• Phlebotomy course and experience advantageous.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned, including assisting physician with exams and procedures.
• Manages appointment scheduling and chart management for patients.
• Provides information to patients and maintains excellent customer service.
• Collects samples, processes routine testing, and relays results to the physician.
• Performs clerical duties: sending/receiving records, scheduling, verifying demographics.
• Maintains infection control and cleans rooms between visits.
• Act as liaison between provider and patient to coordinate referrals and resources.
