Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Care Partner to assist nurses in providing patient care across units. Duties include monitoring vital signs, documenting data in the EMR, and supporting daily living activities.

You will notify nurses of changes, prepare supplies, collect specimens, and help maintain a safe, efficient care environment, while upholding safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• CNA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and monitor intake/output; document in EMR.
• Assess orthostatic blood pressures.
• Perform blood glucose monitoring.
• Collect, transport, and enter data for lab specimens per policy.
• Obtain blood products from Blood Bank per policy.
• Notify nurse of changes in patient condition.
• Maintain stock of supplies at bedside; manage rooms and med room items.
• Follow routines and use supplies cost-effectively.
