Watertown Regional Medical Center has a part-time opportunity on the night shift for a Patient Care Partner (PCP).
This position can be filled by a CNA, LPN, or EMT.
Job Summary
- The Patient Care Partner (PCP) is responsible for assisting with nursing care of the patient within an assigned patient care unit.
- Working under the direction of the doctor and/or RN, the PCP provides a variety of patient care, environmental, and equipment-related services, including but not limited to: assisting with patient care, observing and documenting illness and/or injury, restocking patient rooms, and maintaining equipment.
- Patient care responsibilities include: IV initiation and removal, cardiac monitoring and EKGs, laboratory draws, basic medication administration with appropriate licensure, and order entry.
- Assist with treatment and management of patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as Foley catheter insertion, patient transport, wound cleansing, etc.
- Work collaboratively as part of a patient-focused team to provide excellent care and services.
CNA and Related Roles
- Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the role of Patient Care Partner (PCP).
- Willing to consider Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for this role.
- The PCP is responsible for providing various patient care, environmental, and equipment-related services, including assisting with patient care, observing and documenting illness and/or injury, order entry, wound cleaning, patient transport, room restocking, and maintaining equipment.
- Skills may include IV starts, urinary catheter insertions, telemetry monitoring, phlebotomy, vital sign monitoring, activities of daily living (ADLs), and EKGs.
- Work collaboratively as part of a patient-focused team to provide excellent care and services.

License/Certification Requirements
- Minimum requirement of current CNA, EMT, or LPN certification/license issued by the State of Wisconsin.
- CPR certification is required.
Experience
- Preferably 1 year of patient care experience in a healthcare facility.
- Ability to apply critical thinking, analytical skills, and participative behavior to problem-solving and decision-making.
