Patient Care Nursing Assistant- Cardiac Telemetry & Medical/Surgical

Join us at Cleveland Clinic as a Patient Care Nursing Assistant- Cardiac Telemetry & Medical/Surgical.

Located at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, we have been providing world-class care for over 100 years. Our high acuity cardiac Telemetry and Medical/Surgical Unit (7100 Unit) cares for patients requiring extensive ADL assistance and complex medical attention. This role involves night shifts from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.

As a caregiver, you will:

• Prepare units and patient rooms for admissions, transfers, or emergencies.
• Provide and document care such as bathing, feeding, and changing linens.
• Take and record vital signs and other measurements.
• Perform treatment procedures including blood draws, ice/heat packs, and oxygen setup.
• Assist with pre- and post-operative care and patient mobility.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Conduct hourly safety rounds and respond promptly to patient calls.
• Document care in electronic medical records.
• Complete required training and maintain certifications.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and basic computer skills. Preferred qualifications include being a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) and having one year of recent acute care experience.

Physical requirements involve full-body motion, lifting, standing, and walking. PPE is required following standard precautions.
