Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Canton, part of Cleveland Clinic Health System, is seeking a PRN caregiver for its 28-bed Medical/Surgical Unit. The role supports RN care, with flexible days and hours between 7:00 AM and 7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays.

As a caregiver, you will take vital signs, assist with personal care, monitor patients, and help keep rooms clean while pursuing educational advancement within Cleveland Clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification required by hiring period.
• Nursing students: BLS Certification required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as taking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley Catheters.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
