Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of computer experience (Outlook, Excel, Word) and multitasking.
• 1+ years of medical front office experience.
• Preferred: experience with Athena EMR and scheduling in a medical office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, family members and guests with a friendly welcome.
• Obtain accurate and updated patient information (name, address, insurance).
• Perform insurance verification on the date of service.
• Schedule appointments and procedures in an organized manner.
• Work with providers, prescribers, and staff to coordinate care.
• Answer incoming/outgoing calls promptly and courteously.
• Collect copays and assist patients with payment plans.
• Maintain in-basket messaging and referral tracking.
• Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA requirements and company policies.
