Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Patient Care Coordinator for the Lung Institute at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix to provide personalized administrative coordination of care, verify insurance and authorizations, and schedule appointments. This full-time, day-shift role partners with clinicians to ensure a seamless patient experience.

The PCC will manage communications across patients, offices and payors, review referrals, and support physicians with scheduling and coordination

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Experience in a hospital/medical office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform patient intake and registration as needed and coordinate with the care team.
Obtain insurance information, authorizations and assist with scheduling and referrals.
Provide administrative support across electronic medical records, billing and data management.
Schedule appointments, tests and procedures and communicate with patients and staff.
Maintain effective communication with patients, providers and payors to ensure smooth care coordination.
