BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Full Time Patient Care Monitor/Greeter in Newport, VT to help maintain safety and order at the clinic.

You will greet patients, verify IDs, and support receptionist coverage as needed, ensuring orderly flow and a secure environment. The role requires a high school diploma and security-related training, with a focus on respectful, non-judgmental interaction with patients and adherence to clinic policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior office/clinic experience preferred.
• Security training from law enforcement or related field is desirable.
• Ability to establish rapport with patients and maintain a respectful, non-judgmental approach.
• Satisfactory background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Ensure protection of all employees and patients.
• Verify each patient has an ID before entry.
• Maintain orderly waiting lines and patient flow for medication pickup.
• Perform crowd control and ensure timely departure after dosing.
• Prevent loitering and unauthorized gatherings on premises.
• Report incidents to Operations/Clinic Directors.
• Coordinate with local authorities in emergencies.
• Maintain a secure, safe building environment and perform routine security checks.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as directed.
• Present a professional image with proper name badge.

• Ensure that each patient entering the building has an I.D.
• Creates orderly waiting line; have patients stand in single file while they are waiting to receive medication.
• Performs crowd control (makes sure that after dosing, patients leave the clinic timely, unless they have an appointment to see a staff person).
• Eliminate loitering, congregating in the parking lot and premises
• Report critical incidents that occur in parking lot or on premises.
• Contact local authorities and cooperate with authorities in an emergency situation, as needed.
• Respond to calls for assistance in preventing interference or disruption of operations (maintains order and control).
• Reports and documents incidents whenever trouble or problems occur to the Operations Director and/or Clinic Director.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building, protecting the property from damage and destruction
• Performs security check of facility at regular intervals throughout the day.
• Attends staff meetings, in-service training as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain professional attire at all times, including name badge and paraphernalia that identifies you as a Security Guard.
• Be friendly, courteous and helpful to all disciplines, reception, clinical and medical.
• Provide receptionist coverage as needed
• Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Full Time Patient Care Monitor/Greeter

BAART Program is looking for a respectful, alert and vigilant greeter/ patient care monitor to maintain overall safety and order of the clinic facility. The greeter/patient care monitor may also provide backup coverage to receptionist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 years’ prior experience in an office/clinic setting.
• Training from a law enforcement school or other security training is strongly preferred
• Able to establish a positive rapport with patients and must demonstrate a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the chemically dependent person.
• Satisfactory drug screen and background check.

Salary Range

Salary ranges from $14.42 to $15.00 an hour.

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty, and training.
