Job summary

The successful candidate will have a HS diploma or GED, graduate from an MA program, and at least 3 years of MA experience in healthcare, plus CPR/AED certification and a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card from the AZ DPS. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Graduation from an approved medical assistant training program.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working as a Medical Assistant in a health care setting.
• Certification to perform CPR and AED per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.
• Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona DPS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient appointments by updating records prior to arrival.
• Interview patient to obtain reason for visit and document in EMR.
• Record vital signs according to protocol for patient age.
• Prepare exam room and patient for the exam/procedure.
• Maintain patient confidentiality following HIPAA policies.
