Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association)
• BSN degree or equivalent
• 2+ years nursing experience, preferably with leadership exposure
• Strong clinical skills and ability to lead in dynamic environments

Responsibilities

• Provides operational and clinical leadership to the unit during the assigned shift, serving as a clinical resource.

What You Will Do

• Provides operational and clinical leadership to the unit during assigned shift including serving as a clinical resource.
• Leads the provision and coordination of patient-centered, compassionate and wholistic care
• Promotes accountability for evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making and improvement of outcomes through enculturation of performance improvement activities.
• Anticipates and secures appropriate resources needed for own shift and next 24 hours.
• Supports creation/oversight of department schedule. Ensures modifications are accurately reflected on schedule and timecard.
• Performs the principal duties and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse and serves as a role model for professional practice.

What We Are Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BSN
• 2+ years nursing experience (preferably including charge nurse or other nursing unit leadership capacity).
