Qualifications

• Eligible List Appointment: Candidates must be reachable on the Civil Service eligible list for Nursing Station Clerk 1.
• Provisional Appointment: One year of full-time clerical (in a health care setting), secretarial (in a health care setting), or patient care experience.
• 55b/c Appointment: This position is eligible for 55b/c designation with a current eligibility letter.
• Section 70.1 Transfer: One year of permanent competitive service in a transferable title is required.
• Posting Overview: Position posted until filled or max 90 days; initial review within two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Orient patient and/or family to unit and provide general information.
• Give information on patient condition and direct visitors appropriately.
• Process physicians' orders by recording in charts and filling medication tickets.
• Receive new admissions and maintain patient charts and logs.
