Pay Range

$19-$24 Hourly

Position Summary

Responsible for contacting patients and/or caregivers to schedule deliveries and determine supply needs. Picks and packs medical supplies to fill patient orders, accurately dispenses products in the computer system to generate delivery tickets and/or prescription labels, and confirms delivery tickets after delivery. Assists the pharmacist with medication and supply preparation and dispensing, following Orsini policies and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Training
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy Technician License Required
  • National Technician Certification
  • Previous Specialty Pharmacy experience – preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in pharmacy or healthcare-related customer service
Essential Job Duties
  • Establish and build rapport with patients
  • Monitor medication compliance and persistence
  • Evaluate adverse reactions
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers
  • Process and verify patient benefits and pay options
  • Refer patients to clinical pharmacist or nurse as needed
  • Enter and update orders in workflow systems
  • Update tracking logs with order status and shipping information
  • Ensure timely processing of patient orders
  • Pick, package, and ship orders when onsite
  • Collaborate with intake and MD offices
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Work well in a team, support colleagues
  • Be detail-oriented, prioritize workload, multitask in a fast-paced environment
