Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and 120 hours of clinical experience.
• Diploma and transcripts or attestation of completion of KPCO Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist physicians and other providers during visits and procedures.
• Perform routine delegated medical tasks within scope of practice per KP guidelines (e.g., screenings, basic tests).
• Support providers by preparing supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Handle clerical duties: check-in, scheduling, patient records, and telephone communications.
• Ensure patient safety and use of two patient identifiers and time-outs; maintain clean, stocked treatment rooms.
• Adhere to infection control, sterile technique, and compliance with policies and regulations.
