Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist in examination and treatment under the Physician or Designee. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, taking vital signs, preparing rooms, and assisting clinicians with patient care.

Additional duties include scheduling, administering medications, processing forms, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, efficient work environment. RequiresBasic Life Support, a High School Diploma/GED, and Medical Terminology knowledge.

Formación

• Minimum six (6) months of experience or completion of Kaiser Permanente externship.
• Per National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a course of study for Medical Assistants per the Medical Board of California.
• Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs; records information in medical records.
• Prepares treatment rooms and assists clinicians with patient care; handles supplies and lab tests as required.
• Schedules appointments, administers medications as needed, and completes forms for the department.
• Maintains a clean, functional work environment and provides patient-friendly service.
• Demonstrates teamwork, accountability, and adherence to attendance and labor-management guidelines.
