Job summary

Providence Medical Group Montana is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support PMG physician offices with receptionist and clerical duties, including gathering patient demographics, verifying insurance, explaining forms, and initiating care episodes.

The role requires handling interruptions and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on patient-focused admissions and clear communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Customer service-related experience.
• 6 months of Office experience preferred.
• 6 months of experience in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Handle receptionist and clerical duties to support PMG physician offices.
• Obtain patient demographics and insurance information, and verify coverage.
• Explain hospital forms and policies, obtain signatures, and discuss financial responsibilities.
• Collect monies and initiate the proper episode of care according to policies and procedures.
• Answer phones, file, keyboard, and perform other duties in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Patient Care Coordinators provides a variety of receptionist and skilled clerical duties in support of the PMG physician offices. This includes but is not limited to, obtaining patient demographics, insurance information and verification, explanation of various hospital forms and policies, obtaining signatures, discussions on financial responsibilities, collection of monies and initiation of the proper episode of care. Processes required information on all patients according to departmental and interdepartmental policies and procedures while adhering to the patient focused admissions process. Performs all other duties assigned such as filing keyboarding, answering telephone, etc. Is able to work effectively and calmly with frequent interruptions, in a rapid-paced environment. Accountable to obtain timely and accurate information.

Required Qualifications
