PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR II (Medical Assistant)

Position Overview

Stanford Health Care is seeking dedicated Patient Care Coordinators (PCC/Medical Assistants) to join our team. The PCC acts as the primary point of contact, guiding patients through their clinic visits across various departments, and collaborating closely with team members to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient rooming, check-in/out, scheduling follow-ups, and setting up procedures.
  • Support providers during examinations and procedures, manage provider schedules, and ensure effective communication with patients.
  • Maintain clinical documentation, perform vital signs measurement, assist with lab draws, and other clinical tasks like EKG and ear lavage.
  • Handle administrative duties including appointment scheduling, patient communication, and inventory management.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, plus one of the following: medical assisting program completion, physician/podiatrist-led training, or certification from a CA-approved medical assistant organization.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, billing, and clinical procedures.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to an evolving healthcare environment through continuous learning.
Licenses and Certifications
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
