Position purpose
The Patient Coordinator is responsible for the initial and ongoing interaction between the practice and its patients. The goal of this position is to maximize new patient acquisition and existing patient retention. The patient coordinator will also assist with practice events and marketing efforts, as well as networking and new patient recruiting initiatives.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum two (2) years experience in cosmetic dermatology or related field is preferred. Experience in sales and skin care/aesthetics are desired.
Equipment Operated: Office machinery including computers, fax, dictating machine, calculator, and photocopier.
Work Environment: Work performed in office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and patients. May require working under stressful conditions.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands or deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time. Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines. Occasionally lift and carry files up to 20 pounds.
