Position

Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones.

Hours

This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The supervisor will determine the schedule. May be asked to float to other practices as needed.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to all customers
  • Greet patients as they arrive and manage wait time
  • Complete check-in tasks to include insurance verification and copy required documents
  • Answering calls with resolutions for incoming and outgoing patients
  • Complete daily deposits. Accountable for adherence to business compliance audits criteria.
  • Work with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Schedule appointments as necessary, verifying correct visit type and primary care provider
  • Manage medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)
  • Ensure all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, process requests for medical records release and maintain logs
  • Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issue receipts
  • Provide lead support, guidance, direction, new hire orientation and training for office staff
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ year of experience with healthcare office setting or hospital setting

Compensation

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
