Beaufort Orthopaedic Sports & Spine/ Integrity Rehab Group, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to join our Hilton Head clinic. You will greet patients, assist with insurance, referrals, and scheduling while providing exceptional service.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, multitasking, and computer skills to support daily operations, patient billing, and coordination with clinicians. Experience in healthcare billing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a front-office or patient coordination role preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented and data entry accuracy.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with EHR systems.
• Prior healthcare and billing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and navigate multiple computer programs and web-based portals.
• Answer incoming calls and schedule new and recurring appointments.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations.
• Collect patient payments and balance end of day.
• Post daily charges into billing software and manage denials.
• Participate in training programs and staff meetings.

What is a Patient Care Coordinator?

• A Patient Care Coordinator is the first person to greet our patients, assisting with insurance, patient referrals, and scheduling questions.
• Our Patient Care Coordinators have excellent customer service skills and are capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail is crucial in this role to ensure our clinics operate with accuracy and efficiency.
• Patient Care Coordinators build strong patient rapport and help in the patient recovery process. This is reported to be one of their greatest job highlights.
