Job summary

The Queen's Health Systems in Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks an admissions coordinator to support patient visits at the Medical Center. You will coordinate activities with physicians and staff to ensure services are timely and properly arranged.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience in patient registration and scheduling, and the ability to type at 7,200 keystrokes per hour; proficiency with PCs is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or comparable education.
• Ability to perform 7,200 adjusted keystrokes per hour.
• Two (2) years recent experience in admitting, business services, scheduling or related work in a healthcare facility, preferably comparable to the Medical Center.
• Experience to demonstrate knowledge in patient registration, admitting and medical insurance and/or scheduling.
• Experience to demonstrate ability and skill in use of a personal computer.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates healthcare activities and services related to patient's visit to the Medical Center.
• Works with physicians and their staff, patient families and other health care team members and other facilities to ensure services are coordinated and provided appropriately to the patient.
