Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers.
• MA, EMT, CNA, LNA certificate or diploma; or at least 5 months of direct patient care experience in a clinical or research setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check-in and schedule patients and prepare charts.
• Perform medical assisting duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy and assisting during procedures.
• Review medication lists in the EMR under supervision; assist with test orders and documentation in EMR.
• Queue prescriptions and assist with tests and appointments in EMR.
• Schedule diagnostic and lab tests and verify insurance and prior authorizations.
• Maintain clinical areas, stock supplies, and ensure proper billing documentation.
