Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is hiring a Clinical Care Associate to provide nursing assistance and direct patient care for comfort, safety and personal needs.

The role supports activities of daily living and hygiene, within a unit-based, multidisciplinary team, while handling clerical tasks such as charting and order transcription. The position requires CNA on the Georgia Registry, or CMA/RMA/CCMA credentials, BLS, and about one year of acute patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Must be on the Georgia Registry as a CNA.
• CMA credential awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
• RMA credential awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
• CCMA credential awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One (1) year of patient care experience (CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or equivalent).
• Color vision acuity required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance and patient care for comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and hygiene procedures.
• Works within a unit-based, self-directed, multidisciplinary patient care team and shares tasks with licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Performs general clerical and reception duties as needed by the patient unit or department.
• Maintains patient charts, transcribes physician orders, and enters information into the computerized patient care system.
