VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will support our Doctors and Technician team by maintaining medical records, preparing surgical suites, performing lab work, and assisting with imaging in a high-quality veterinary setting.

We offer competitive compensation of $18.00–$19.50 per hour, with overnight and weekend differentials.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred; motivated candidates with excellent work ethic will be considered.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends and some holidays.

VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician to join our team!

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care-with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

• Maintaining medical records.
• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
• Filling prescriptions.
• Performing laboratory work
• Assisting with diagnostic imaging of many modalities
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
• General patient husbandry and hygiene

You will sharpen your skills-and even learn some new techniques-and explore career options that only VCA can offer, such as continuing education, transfer, specialization, and leadership opportunities.

Experience is preferred however a motivated candidate with excellent work ethic will be considered.

Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and some holidays is required.

Compensation: $18.00 - $19.50, not including Overnight differential ($2.00/hr) or weekend differential ($6.25)
