The role involves taking vital signs, instructing patients on specimen collection, performing basic screenings, venipuncture, and assisting during examinations while ensuring compassionate communication with diverse patients. Requires HS diploma and BLS certification.

Competenze

• High school diploma or its educational equivalent.
• Successful completion of training courses including phlebotomy and electrocardiography (EKG).
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Mansioni

• Checks vital signs, weighs, and measures patients and records findings.
• Instructs patients on how to obtain specimens for laboratory testing and performs basic specimen screening.
• Performs venipuncture for blood specimen collection.
• Operates EKG equipment to record heart electrical activity.
• Assists in examinations by providing needed supplies and preparing the examination room.
• Maintains patient charts and coordinates with clinical staff.
