Job summary

Penn State Health Medical Group LLC in Hershey, PA, seeks a full-time subspecialty-trained pediatric radiologist to join the Pediatric Imaging Division. The candidate should interpret pediatric CT, MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy studies and contribute to teaching and research within a leading academic health system.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign medical degree required.
• Completion of an accredited radiology residency.
• Subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric imaging or equivalent experience.
• CAQ certification/eligibility in Pediatric Radiology.
• Board certification/eligibility in Radiology.
• Eligibility to be licensed for the practice of medicine in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Interpret pediatric diagnostic studies including CT, MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows within the academic radiology program.
• Share evenly distributed call and evening shifts.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary clinical research through DRIVE and related initiatives.
• Contribute to the education mission of the department and hospital.

Radiologist – Pediatric Imaging

The Department of Radiology at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine is seeking a full-time subspecialty trained pediatric radiologist to join the Pediatric Imaging Division. The successful candidate should have broad expertise in interpretation of pediatric diagnostic studies utilizing CT, MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy.

• This Division is staffed with three full-time data analysts and provides advanced data mining and analysis support for healthcare innovation and investigator-initiated research projects.

• There is an opportunity for development of innovative interdisciplinary clinical research through collaboration with the recently established Division of Radiology Innovation and Value Enhancement (DRIVE) dedicated to outcomes research in imaging, procedures, and diagnostic pathways.
• The Department has state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and interventional equipment including four 128 slice Siemens Flash CT scanners with CT fluoro capability, four Siemens 3.0 T clinical MRI scanners, and an additional 3T Prisma 3.0 T MRI unit housed in the MRI Core facility that is used for clinical research.
• We serve dedicated multidisciplinary teams, among them a busy pediatric Hematology Oncology program (4 Diamonds), excellent (US News and World Report ranked) pediatric cardiothoracic surgery program, level IV NICU and a 4‑person group of pediatric surgeons.
• We are a level 1 pediatric trauma center.
