Job summary

Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL is seeking a patient care technician to support nursing staff under an RN. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help keep patient areas clean and stocked.

Additional duties include performing basic patient care tasks such as EKG testing, phlebotomy, and recording intake and output, with competency to report changes to the nursing team. EKG and phlebotomy competencies must be achieved within six months.

Qualifications

• No degree required; on-the-job training provided.
• BLS certifications and cards are required as listed.
• Three months of patient care experience or completion of a formal training program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Keep patient rooms and areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Under RN supervision, perform basic patient care tasks including monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, blood glucose, and intake/output.
