Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida, seeks an entry-level patient care assistant. Under the supervision of an RN, you will perform basic patient care and technical support activities.

The role requires a minimum of three months of patient care experience or completion of formal training, and current BLS certification. EKG and phlebotomy competencies must be achieved within six months of hire.

Qualificações

• Minimum three months patient care experience or completion from a training program.
• BLS American Heart Association ECARD required.
• EKG and phlebotomy competencies within six months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly.
• Assist with transporting patients, as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic patient care activities under RN supervision, including monitoring vitals, phlebotomy, EKG testing and intake/outtake recording.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming and eating.
• Monitors patient status and reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
