The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Associate to join the University Hospital | 15 North - General Neuro EMU PCU team. The PCA works with Registered Nurse to provide patient care and supportive services on the unit. This position is Regular, with 36 scheduled hours and varying shifts.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and PCA training is required after hire. Background checks and possible drug screen may be required.

The Patient Care Associate (PCA) functions as an integral member of a team of care providers on a patient care unit, reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team, consisting of the Registered Nurse, and the Patient Care Associate provides patient care and supportive services that are directed towards achievement of patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient's involvement in his/her own plan of care, improving services levels, and reducing decreasing costs. Patients and their family will experience the benefits of patient focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members.
