The Patient Care Associate (PCA) functions as an integral member of a team of care providers on a patient care unit, reflecting a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team, consisting of the Registered Nurse and the Patient Care Associate, provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achieving patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient's involvement in their own plan of care, improving service levels, and reducing costs. Patients and their families will experience the benefits of patient‑focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members. You will be required to attend a week‑long PCA training/orientation which is held Monday through Friday 8:00am‑5:00pm.
