Job summary

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, CA is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support a responsive clinical team. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and hospital policies.

You will contribute to compassionate, high-quality care for our community. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, plus basic computer literacy and a patient-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved Nursing Assistant program OR completion of at least the first semester of an RN program.
• Current BLS provider card
• Current hospital recognized Violence Prevention Training card
• Education: High School Graduate, GED or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months acute hospital Nursing Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Associate provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and based on HMNH’s policies and procedures.
• Assist with basic patient care tasks as directed and maintain patient comfort and safety.

Job Summary:

Licensure and Certification:

• Successful completion of a state approved Nursing Assistant program OR has successfully completed at least the first semester of a RN program.
• Current BLS provider card

Additional Licensure and Certification (ARU):

• QI Certified within 180 days

Education:

• High School Graduate, GED or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum 6 months acute hospital Nursing Assistant experience preferred
